Happy Spring!

Following our highly successful free “Cooking with Chef Keith and the Eastport Firefighters” classes held last month, Helping Makes U Happy will be beginning to offer free crocheting classes for kids and adults.  

We love being able to offer free classes to the community members who are so supportive of us! Helping Makes U Happy has had a long-standing helping relationship with Rita Lombardo Busch and her family, and Rita has generously offered her time and talents to teach crocheting.  

We are proud to be donating to Stepping Stone Support’s April 4 fundraiser for a woman battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, held at the Westhampton Beach Brew & Grille in Manorville.  

We are also donating to the We R Only Human fundraiser basket auction at the Hotel Indigo in Riverhead on April 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Both are organizations that do a lot of good for a lot of people. On April 18, we will be sponsoring the Mastic Beach Ambulance’s Murder Mystery Dinner at 343 Main Street, Mastic Beach.

Finally, April is the month we will be looking for scholarship submissions from graduating high school seniors in the Center Moriches and ESM school districts (William Floyd is already in process). This year we’ve changed up the scope of our scholarship in the two school districts to one of Mental Health and Wellness, so please be on the lookout for that.
