This holiday season, while you’re bundled around the fire with your nearest and dearest, it’s important to remember that it is also the season for giving. Many local organizations are collecting new or gently used clothing to donate to those on Long Island. Below are a few of the drives happening now or in the near future.

Clothing drive fundraiser to benefit Suffolk Detachment 247 for the Marines in Bay Shore

Clean out your closets and drop off your new and gently used clothing, shoes, jackets, hats and handbags. The more bags filled the more money raised. Go Green Clothing Recycling will be collecting the clothing. Donators can even stay in their car and volunteers will grab bags of clothes from their trunk. For more information or questions contact Helen Giordano Barba at 631-375-8164.
