A collective consciousness has evolved to address the stagnation and invasive species that has stalled water flow and encouraged pesky insects in Upper Patchogue Lake and its adjacent waterways. St. Joseph’s College has studied the lake, which flows past the college, since 1994 and held a meeting that involved local residents, town, county and DEC officials as well as St. Joseph’s College faculty and students on Wednesday.
