In search of a new logo, Patchogue’s Sunday Market officials sought a call to artists to replace the original 6-year-old logo; 32 artists submitted and one was ultimately chosen.

According to market organizer and BID executive director Dennis Smith, the idea was to not only refresh the logo but also open it up beyond a traditional “farmer’s market,” showcasing their over 30 vendors including veggies, fruit, baked goods, crafts and more.

The Long Island Advance’s production manager Andrew Ingenito took home the contest win with a check and two baskets filled with goodies. His design will be featured as the market’s logo for years to come.

“The contest was a great way for graphic artists to showcase their talents in front of the community,” he said, proud of his design. “All of the logos designed each had a unique take on the market. I’m just happy that mine was picked as the winner.”
