Small Business Saturday shoppers’ meals

After a dizzying shopping spree for holiday presents in downtown Sayville or Patchogue, drop by Bayport for a recharging meal that’s a break from turkey sandwiches.

The culinary lineup along Montauk Highway offers everyone a taste of something inventive, while also offering down-home comfort foods.

We lined up the creative dishes for a brunch to power up before Small Business Saturday shopping, or to relax after gathering the presents:

The Fish Store (836 Montauk Highway)

Flounder francese

Want an Italian classic, but a little dressed up for the holidays? Try it with a light, delicate, but flavor-packed flounder. (Pictured below)

Cedar plank salmon

A cozy winter treat, the wood-fired fish is like eating on the back patio of a house on the water in Montauk.

Lobster marinara

Decadence defined, this dish is served for two.

JT’s Farmhouse (291 Bayport Avenue) or JT’s Café (4 Montauk Highway)

Farmhouse steak and eggs

A workman’s brunch, this protein-packed meal has aromatic flavors and a zesty sauce. (Pictured below)

Chicken and waffles

Sweet. Savory. Sensational.

Momo’s Bayport (667 Montauk Highway)

Thai chicken sandwich

Invoke the flavors of the East in this tangy, tantalizing, and tender sandwich.

Tuna BLT

Prepared to taste, get the tuna just seared black/blue and enjoy with crispy bacon.

Thai shrimp tacos

Looking for a fusion dish that hits all the spots on your palette? Then try these tempura-fried shrimp with refreshing coleslaw on flour tortillas. (Pictured below)
