On Saturday, Jan. 21, at approximately 11 p.m., a vehicle crashed into the Bowlero sign at the shopping center on 5560 Sunrise Highway, in Sayville. The Suffolk County Police Department’s 5th Precinct is still investigating the matter, but have not made an arrest.
Eyewitnesses to the event said that the driver appeared unharmed and exited the vehicle, seemingly unsteady on their feet. One eyewitness said that the driver was keen to drive his vehicle away from the crash site, but an off-duty police officer was present when the collision occurred.
