Owner Chuck Sanders recently opened his business, Plumb Tech, at his new location, 157 Montauk Highway in the Moriches.
Originally located on Frowein Road in Center Moriches, Sanders has been providing plumbing and heating services since 1994.
The business, he said, has always been a family affair.
“I worked for my father before opening Plumb Tech,” he added.
Now, his wife, Lisa, is the office manager. His daughter, Jordan, handles fixtures for new projects; his other daughter, Brittany, is the office receptionist; and two of his sons-in-law, Tim and Brendon, both work in new build and run the newer service division that was launched in 2024. Additionally, over the years, other family members have also worked for Plumb Tech, including his grandson, Jackson, a third-generation family member who will start working in the shop this summer for his second year.
Plumb Tech, he said, has always been a “community-focused” business.
“We love to give back by supporting local youth sports and programs, our local food banks, and especially our Moriches Community Center,” he said.
He and his wife have served on the board since its inception, and now his daughter Jordan serves on the board as well. And Lisa was a founding member, along with Kathleen Johnson and Anthony Parlato.
The Community Center helps local families in need through food drives, youth programs, and Santa’s Workshop, which provides significant holiday assistance to struggling families in the community.
“Every generation of our family is actively involved. Our grandchildren, Hunter and Jackson, run an annual lemonade stand donating 100 percent of the revenue to the Community Center,” he added. “Giving back to our community is very important to us not only as a business, but also as community members.”
Plumb Tech has two divisions: new build and service. The new build division works on new projects in both residential and commercial settings. Whether it’s a new home, partial renovation, or commercial project, they work with you every step of the way to make your vision a reality.
“My mission is to deliver unparalleled workmanship through our exceptional team, ensuring a consistently elevated level of service to our valued clients. As a lifelong resident of the community, I pride myself on providing essential services to the great people living here on Long Island,” he said.
The business provides services including: boiler maintenance, plumbing, filtration, upgraded systems, renovation work, water heaters, summarizing and winterizing, outdoor showers, and service contracts as well as 24-hour emergency services.
They are also OSHA and NSS accredited. For more information visit plumbtechph.com or call 631-874-3700.
TIPS FOR WINTER
Sanders says to make sure to call their service department! He said their experienced technicians winterize properties and service boilers and radiant heating systems to ensure customers avoid the winter blues from a burst pipe or a down boiler. Call them at 631-874-3700 for service.
