Next up, making autumn centerpieces

On Sept. 25, the Moriches Bay Garden Club held its annual fundraiser at the Rock Hill Country Club in Manorville. 

We enjoyed our buffet lunch, basket raffles and entertainment by the Sitting Ducks Trio. We thank all who attended and participated.

On Oct. 16, we visited the Leuthardt Nursery and listened to owner, John Leuthardt’s informational talk about his fruit trees and the espalier method of training and pruning his trees and shrubs. We thank him for his time and expertise in the horticulture field. 

Our next meeting is on Nov. 20 at the Center Moriches Library, where we will be making autumn centerpieces. We thank the Center Moriches Library for lending us the Children’s Room for many of our club meetings.
