New Rotary president aims for environment

Drew Baldwin was sworn in Monday night at Land’s End by congressman Andrew Garbarino with his board members, as the Sayville Rotary Club’s new president. Baldwin’s mission for the club under his term is concentrating on the environment, which includes cleaning up trails at Sans Souci Park Nature Preserve, creating new ones, and other projects. Baldwin, an avid hiker with his wife, Kaitlyn, take to trails often in New Hampshire. His installation theme, “Go Hike,” attracted a sometimes hilarious range of costumes, hiking boots, and otherwise from Rotarians and guests; one Rotarian wore a red Winnie the Poo sweatshirt. Baldwin, a member for several years, is the Sayville Rotary Club’s youngest president on record.
