The Pride Performing Arts center in Sayville held their production of “Clue” this past weekend, where the black box theater was transformed into the nine-room setting of Boddy Manor.
For those who remember the 1985 film based on the Parker Brothers game, “Clue” is full of challenging tongue twisters and quick-witted replies that rely heavily on the actors’ comedic timing.
In the leading role of Wadsworth, Jack Dowdell anchored the production with his beleaguered, fast-paced, and scheming portrayal. The young actor made his Pride Performing Arts debut with “Clue.”
Pride Performing Arts is a nonprofit performing arts organization for students of all ages. “Focusing on the roots of performing, we strive to not only build skills, but character and confidence,” said Phyllis Kaye, director of Pride.
