BELLPORT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Bellport Chamber of Commerce has unanimously selected Carolyn Villegas, community & physician relations manager for LI Community Hospital, as their 2020 Member of the Year.
She has been a member of the chamber for approximately 15 years. During COVID, she coordinated with countless businesses and organizations to help donate food to hospital workers at LI Community Hospital. She has also continuously championed and facilitated hospital support for Bellport Day and she also volunteers her time on the big day. Villegas is a Long Islander since childhood who currently resides in Farmingville.
THE GREATER PATCHOGUE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
PSA Security will be Patchogue’s Member of The Year, highlighting owner Phil Fogarty.
“We are selecting them to recognize not only their long-standing membership with our chamber, but also for being basically the ‘backbone’ for all our special street events, including Alive After Five,” said chamber executive director David Kennedy. “As well as the company that services the overwhelming majority of our member restaurants and bars, providing essential services making our vibrant nightlife in our downtown possible.”
CHAMBER OF THE MASTICS AND SHIRLEY
Joseph Furnari will be honored as the Mastics and Shirley Member of The Year. He serves as the sergeant-at-arms and is the chairperson of their membership committee, and is creating innovative ways to attract new members. He also serves on the Christmas Parade Committee as well as assisting with many chamber events. He also serves as a trustee for the Mastic-Moriches-Shirley-Community Library and is the owner of Ultimate Commercial Cleaners.
MEDFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Medford Chamber Member of The Year for 2020 is Linda Davis. Davis is the owner of Balsam Printing and is a past president of the chamber. Since leaving the executive board, she has demonstrated a passionate commitment to make the chamber work for the business community, said president Paul Donoghue. She is known for signing up new members, using her connections to local leaders, and willingness to pass her vast knowledge of the chamber operations and bylaws. “It was an easy and obvious choice for Linda as our member of the year,” he added.

Local chamber members selected as the People of The Year will be recognized by the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce Coalition during an event to be held this month on Sept. 28. The event is to honor the members selected for 2020 that was cancelled due to the pandemic. Below are the recipients.
