On Monday, Sept. 10, a great time was had by all at the Dublin Deck in Patchogue to support an important cause: Sacking Mental Illness with Marty Lyons.
The former New York Jets defensive lineman was on hand for a fundraiser for mental illness and suicide prevention. The event was hosted by Lyons as well as Your Future Happiness LLC, and Long Island P.R.E.P. Prevention and Resilience Enrichment Program—two organizations that specialize in mental health awareness and suicide prevention to save lives and unsure that everyone thrives in their life.
Paul Vecchione, the founder of Long Island P.R.E.P., as well as Steve Costello, who is heavily involved in good causes, also hosted the event at the Dublin Deck, as well as Mark Miller,, the owner of the Dublin Deck.
Vecchione, Costello, Lyons, and commentator Mike Quick hosted a podcast titled “The Story Time” for an hour at the event, mentioning many feel-good stories and discussed how they plan on continuing to save lives and help everyone thrive for a good cause.
“Long Island P.R.E.P. and Your Future Happiness we are working together to get mental health awareness out there. Prevention, intervention, awareness. We want to teach kids and parents and teachers about what’s going on in our communities so we can put an end to the mental health and overdose crisis in America,” said Vecchione.
