Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found under a vehicle he was working on in a Bay Shore parking lot.
Stephan Edwards was working on a 2013 Kia Optima, raised on a jack, in the parking lot of 1321 Sunrise Highway, the location of a Pep Boys tire shop and auto service center. The vehicle fell on him sometime during the overnight hours between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7.
Police were called at approximately 8:55 a.m. and Edwards, 30, of Margate, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852- 6392.
