Hammer & Stain, a hands-on DIY workshop studio in downtown Sayville, will open their second location at Station Yards in Ronkonkoma after signing a lease for a 2,463-square-foot space.

At Hammer & Stain patrons can look forward to a full schedule of group workshops, private customizable parties and walk-in craft hours for both adults and kids. Whether it’s a birthday celebration, a corporate team-building event, or a casual night out with friends, Hammer & Stain offers a dynamic, hands-on activity that adds a personal touch to any gathering. In addition, the studio will offer a unique retail experience that allows customers to custom-order bespoke goods and gifts. This includes handmade items as well as laser engraving.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hammer & Stain to Station Yards. This type of creative, community-centered experience aligns perfectly with our vision of making Station Yards a vibrant and engaging destination,” said Meaghan Coughlan Treat, development manager at TRITEC. “We know the community, including our residents, will enjoy the opportunity to tap into their creativity in such a fun and collaborative setting.”

“Guest experience and an immersive ambiance is the vision we sought for our second location, and we found that in Station Yards,” said Sandra Bernius, owner of Hammer & Stain. “Many of our customers make plans with family and friends from across the island to spend an evening with us—often also enjoying the neighboring restaurants and shops. The sense of community at Station Yards enhances the experience we can provide our guests.”

Steven D’Orazio, Maria Valanzano, and Jake Horowitz, all vice presidents at Collier’s, represented both the tenant and the landlord in the lease transaction. Hammer & Stain is expected to open to the public in early 2025, further enriching Station Yards’ diverse lineup of businesses.
