The Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce will host its 33rd annual St. Patrick’s parade on Sunday, March 12.
The parade begins at Montauk Highway and Snedecor Avenue in Bayport and ends at Montauk Highway and Blue Point Avenue in Blue Point.
The Suffolk County Police Department typically begins closing off streets on the parade’s route two hours before the start of the parade (11 a.m.).
A Renaissance woman of public service, the Bayport-Blue Point St. Patrick’s grand marshal of 2023, Constance Haab, has been a part of nearly every civic, government, volunteer, and social group there is in the community.
Haab has spent all her 90 years in Bayport, with her grandfather, a mortgage broker from Brooklyn, being the first generation of her family to move to the area and five of her great-grandchildren attending BBP schools.
The parade sponsors include many hometown businesses, such as The Fish Store, Bayport Tavern, Irish Coffee Pub, Cavanaugh’s, Blackbirds, The Pizzeria, Flo’s, Momo’s Too, Le Soir, Neighborhood Deli, Satelite Pizza, Houdek Spirit Shoppe, and Blue Point Spirits.
