LI’s only Vegas-style wedding venue opens in Patchogue

After Patchogue couple Leann and Luigi Pisano recovered from severe cases of COVID-19 last year, they had one thing on their mind: getting hitched.

But the ever-changing circumstances made it difficult for the newlyweds to nail down an appropriate venue and find an officiant to marry them, Leann said.

“We were going to do a whole big ceremony; unfortunately, COVID really messed us up,” Luigi said.

Instead, the duo shifted gears and were married at a simple ceremony at Swan Lake Park in East Patchogue by village mayor Paul Pontieri.

Leann said her experience amid the pandemic is what prompted her to open the Long Island Wedding Chapel, Long Island’s only Las Vegas-style chapel.

The venue, located at 124 Medford Avenue, Suite C, in Patchogue, offers a variety of wedding packages and services for couples eager to tie the knot. The Pisanos, both ordained ministers, simply need a couple’s marriage license and they will unite any pair.

“We were hearing so many stories from other people, and I thought, We can do this for others,” Leann said. “We’ll bring Vegas to Long Island.”

Commitment ceremonies, same-sex marriages, as well as civil, non-faith-based and faith-based ceremonies can all be completed through Long Island Wedding Chapel, Leann said.

The business was formally unveiled to the public on Friday, March 26, just a few hours after Leann officiated her first wedding at the location.

“For us, it’s all about the couple – which is different from a traditional Long Island wedding,” Leann said. “For the most part, the celebration is for everyone else. We just want to accommodate the couple.”
A simple standing ceremony can be performed at the Patchogue venue or any local location within a 10-mile radius of for $150. For an additional charge, the ceremony can be performed outside of that 10-mile radius.

To ensure a couple’s special day is perfect, the business offers various wedding packages. Photography, fabric and flower accents, a mobile D.J. and a beauty routine at neighboring business Eloisa Beauty Center Spa are all additional services that can be tacked on for the ceremony.

And of course, a proper Las Vegas-style wedding wouldn’t be complete without an Elvis impersonator. For an upcharge, couples can pay to get an Elvis and/or Frank Sinatra look-alike to entertain at the event.

No witness for the marriage? No problem. The business can also provide the couple with a witness for an additional cost of $30 per witness.

“This is a great, unique business, and there’s nothing like it on Long Island,” Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce executive director David Kennedy said. “This is just another business that makes Patchogue truly special.”
