On Friday, June 17, nonprofit Paws of War set up their Patriotic Paws Pet Wellness Mobile Veterinary Clinic at Amvets Post 18 in East Islip. The mobile clinic provided free veterinary care for service animals of veterans and first responders. The event was sponsored by New York State assem blyman Jarett Gandolfo and was also attended by congressman Andrew Garborino.
“Today is just a small token to give back to the veterans. It’s just a great service to be able to give back to their pets,” said Gandolfo. To learn more about Paws of War, visit pawsofwar.org.
