If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, make your way to the Islip Methodist Church. The church will be having its annual spring yard sale on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located at 350 Main Street in Islip, there’s something for everyone.

Founded in 1810, the church welcomes all who step through its doors. The yard sale helps the church raise money for mission projects around the church, community missions, the soup kitchen at Bay Shore Methodist Church and renovations. This year the church will have handicapped bathrooms installed.

Last year’s yard sale was held on Oct. 19. It was a great turnout as many showed up and the church had several items for sale. Those stopping by this year can expect the same; furniture, dressers and more will be up for grabs.

The thrift shop will also be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is clothing for men, women, children and infants sold, as well as a variety of jewelry, books, toys and more. Houseware items are also available for purchase such as linens, cookware and home decor.

Those interested in making a donation to the Islip Methodist Church’s thrift shop can bring donations during operating hours. They are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
