Holy Angels Regional School in Patchogue is enrolling children for its half-day nursery school program that starts Jan. 6.
The school has 200 students in grades pre-K through eighth grade and decided to add a nursery program because of interest from parents.
“We started getting a lot of calls for a nursery program, so we decided to test the waters,” principal Jeannine Stewart said.
There are 10 slots available in the program, which is open to children who will be at least 3 years old as of Dec. 1 and are fully potty-trained, Stewart said. It is open to children of all faiths.
The program will be offered Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and run through June 13. Tuition is $2,988. It will include story time, arts and crafts and music and will be taught by a New York State-certified teacher with more than 10 years of nursery and pre-K teaching experience, Stewart said. The teacher will be aided by a teacher’s assistant.
Holy Angels Regional School was founded in 1923 and celebrated its 100th anniversary last year.
