Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph. D. is poised to take over his role as St. Joseph’s College eighth president on July 1, 2017. In past positions he served as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Scranton and was Dean of the College of Music and Fine Arts at Loyola University New Orleans. He’s raised funds, added professor positions and is a concert pianist and country fiddler.
