That’s what November is all about—and we are thankful for many things:Our veterans—please come out and show them you appreciate them at the Nov. 9 Veterans Day Parade. It begins at 2 p.m. at the eagle on Main Street, East Moriches, and continues on to Soldiers and Sailors Park.
Our neighbors—thanks to all who have donated, and continue to donate to our Thanksgiving drive for our neighbors in need.
Those who are concerned for the many people who are affected by the government shutdown and the impending loss of SNAP benefits.
Helping Makes U Happy has been in touch with school social workers who will keep us informed as to how we can help, and we’ve been in touch with local food pantries to help them as well.
Our health—and our ability to support those who are struggling right now. On Nov. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m., we will be attending and donating to “Cait Beats Cancer” at VFW Post 414. This is a fundraiser for a young mom recently diagnosed with brain cancer.
There will be many activities: a Chinese auction, DJ, dancing, a photo booth, food trucks, a coffee bar and much more.
Please come down and show your support!
