Getting fit on the go

Mobile Body Boutique comes to Patchogue Village

Mobile Body Boutique is the pandemic brainchild of fitness instructor, CEO and lead trainer Nicholas Kane-Crescimanni. The on-the-go workout was typically touring private homes over the last two months since its inception, until earlier this month, when he brought it to the Village of Patchogue’s Parks and Recreation Department.

“I was thinking to myself that boutique fitness was something lacking, especially during the pandemic,” he recalled. “People had the ability to use Peloton, but no options to bring the studio to their home or a park. So, I created this idea and rolled with it.”

As for Patchogue Village, the Wading River native said it was the perfect area, booming with potential clientele. Crescimanni said he fell in love with the area after years of working at a local waterfront restaurant in town.

“Patchogue is the perfect place,” he said, also noting that he is licensed and insured.

Recently, parks director Maria Giustizia and trustee Joseph Keyes participated in the class, anticipating its future in the village’s recreational programs this summer.

“It was a lot of fun,” said Keyes. “I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s a fun way to get in shape.”

The one-hour class is about 30 minutes of cardio on stationary cycle bikes and then an additional 30 minutes with floor work including dumbbells, kettle bells and resistance bands.

“It’s a well-rounded bootcamp,” he added, explaining that the class can be modified for all fitness levels.

Sessions are being offered on Sundays at 9 a.m. at 380 Bay Avenue in Patchogue Village. Private home or office lessons can also be booked and Patchogue lessons will expand as enrollment increases, he promised. Each class holds about eight to a dozen people.

“I am super-excited to share my passion for fitness with the community,” he said. “It’s all about good energy and good vibes.”

"The Village of Patchogue Parks and Recreation Department is excited to add yet another great exercise program to our summer lineup," said  Giustizia. "Can't get to the gym? Then we will bring the gym to you!"
