Begun back in 2010 as a campaign for American Express, Small Business Saturday is an important day for local retailers that reminds holiday shoppers to shop small and frequent mom-and-pop stores for Christmas gifts. Various local chambers of commerce and stores will be participating this year on Nov. 26. In Bay Shore, the Greater Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Bay Shore BID will be hosting a whole day of activities featuring music and carolers at the bandshell on Main Street. Make sure to shop local this holiday season and visit stores on Nov. 26!
