If you’re looking for some family fun this summer, Brightwaters is the place to be. The village has lots of fun events coming up for everyone to enjoy!

Gazebo Cocktail Party Fundraiser

Friday, July 30 from 6-9 p.m. at the Head of the Harbor

The village is hosting this fundraiser to raise money for the restoration of the gazebos around the village. The gazebos have been in the village for over 100 years and are in need of a bit of love. Money raised will go towards powerwashing, carpentry, stucco, masonry, electric and painting. The event will feature live music, light fare as well as beer and wine.

In addition, residents may buy a family brick for $100 with the money going towards gazebo restoration. Bricks can hold up to four lines with 15 characters per line. There will also be a 50/50 raffle that all residents are invited to join in on.

Tickets for this event are $60 each or $750 to be an event sponsor that reserves a table for 10. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Village Hall located at 40 Seneca Drive.

Walker Beach Family Fun Night

Every Thursday through Aug. 12 is Walker Beach Family Fun Night. This journalist went last week and can confirm a great time was had by all. The Family Fun Nights also feature a food truck, so no need to bring your own. All Family Fun Nights are from 6-8 p.m. Below is the upcoming schedule of musicians for these great nights.

July 22 - Tommy Duck

July 29 - Acoustic Steve

Aug. 12 - Tommy Duck

Bingo Night

The next bingo night will be Aug. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wohseepee Park.
