Financial Crimes Unit detectives began an investigation in January 2021 after administrators at Catholic Health Maryhaven Center of Hope discovered an employee was stealing money from the personal accounts of residents.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested Jazzame Paranzino, who was employed as a residence manager at a facility located at 1385 North Ocean Ave., for stealing approximately $50,000 from the accounts of 11 residents.

Paranzino, 29, of 47 Lafayette Dr., was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
