Cooking is back

February at Helping Makes U Happy means cooking is back!  

Normally during February break, we’ve done a couple days of cooking with Chef Keith ‘n Kids. This year, the Eastport Fire Department will be coming to speak about kitchen fire safety before cooking begins.

There will be two classes: one on Feb. 18 and one on Feb. 20, both beginning at 5 p.m. at Helping Makes U Happy, 234 Main St., Suite 1, Center Moriches. (Entrance in rear of building).  

Each class will be limited to 10 children and they usually fill up extremely quickly. Classes are about an hour long, are free of charge, and are intended for ages 7 and up.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Super Bowl Party raffle for scholarships. We were able to fund four scholarships for graduating high school seniors at local high schools!
