Chili & Chowder Festival winners announced!

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce held its 10th Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 28 on Main Street, Patchogue welcoming thousands to downtown Patchogue!

As part of the tradition of this great event, there was a contest between many of the Patchogue Restaurants for Best Chili and Best Chowder! 15 Restaurants entered the Chili Contest and 10 Restaurants took part in the Chowder Contest. Attached is a menu given to the public that lists all the participants.

THE RESULTS

In the Chowder competition: It was very close between five restaurants, with the winner as Rhum with their Spicy Clam Chowder with 71 votes.

There was a tie for second between That Meetball Place and their Lobster Corn Chowder and Whiskey Neat with Roasted Corn & Pumpkin Spice Chowder...both with 65 votes.

And a tie for 4th place between Catch Oyster Bar with their Long Island Clam Chowder & Buttermilk's Kitchen with their Lobster Corn Chowder...both getting 62 votes.

The chili contest was more clear: Whiskey Neat won first with their Brisket and candied Pork belly Chili...getting 72 votes! In second was Dirty Taco & Tequila and their Turkey Chili with a Mole drizzle...getting 66 votes. In third was That Meetball Place with their Roasted Hatch Short Rib Chili...getting 62 votes.
