On Saturday, April 26, members of the Bay Shore community gathered at Captain Bill’s to celebrate a major milestone: the 100th anniversary of the Bay Shore Fire Department Engine Company No. 1.
Councilman McElwee had the honor of attending the centennial celebration alongside Town of Islip supervisor Angie Carpenter, where they presented an official citation recognizing the engine company’s century of dedicated service.
The Bay Shore Fire Department has stood as a pillar of safety and dedication to the community, with Engine Company No. 1 at the forefront of countless emergency responses, volunteer efforts, and neighborhood support initiatives.
McElwee extends his sincere gratitude to all members—past and present—of the Bay Shore Fire Department for their unwavering service and dedication to the people of Bay Shore.
