The Moriches Community Center hosted their first Folkie Fest of the years, “Slip Sliding Away,” on Feb. 12. Billed as “Not your grandparents’ folk,” the annual concert series featured local acoustic artists, including Rob Europe, Kane Daily, Frank LaTorre, Shecky Tom Davis, and Kerry Kearney. Additional dates and performances for the 2023 season include March 5, “Unstoppable Women of Song”; April 23, “Getting to the Roots”; and May 21, “Living on LI.” Purchase $10 tickets by visiting www.morichescommunitycenter.org. $15 tickets will be sold at the door.
