A new season at Gallery 90 and the Ketcham Inn

Posted

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, a visit to the 17th-century Terry-Ketcham Inn is a fine way to take a step back in time. The inn is a living history museum where visitors can learn about life on Long Island across three centuries, told through the site’s evolution from settlement to social center, meeting house, stagecoach stop and historical mainstay. The inn is located at 81 Montauk Highway in Center Moriches.  (631) 878--1855

This year’s upcoming events include the May 9 “Mother’s Day lecture and sweets” presentation, from 1 to 2 p.m. ($30 pp); “Behind the Painting,” the work of Elizabeth Oakes Smith, May 30, from 2 to 3 p.m. ($20 pp); and “Juneteenth at the Mary E. Bell House” on June 21.

Located at 90 Montauk Highway in Center Moriches, Gallery 90, part of the Ketcham Inn Foundation, continues its mandate to showcase the work of exceptional Long Island artists. This year the gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming series of shows:

May 23 –  June 21:  “Long Island Women Artists”

July 4  --  Aug. 2:  “Local Color”

Aug. 15  --  Sept.13: “On the Mark”

Sept. 26  --  Oct. 25: “Small Works”
