Fire districts across Long Island will hold their annual elections on Tuesday, Dec. 14.
Blue Point
Incumbent Peter Miller will be going against firefighter Raymond Maggi for a seat to one five-year term. There are no resolutions or propositions on the ballot. The vote will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the firehouse.
Bellport
Firefighter and village trustee Steve Mackin will be running against incumbent Richard Terwilliger for a five-year term. Also, firefighters Robert Paulsen and Anthony Didio will be running against each other to fill a one-year term for a vacated seat. There will be no referendums or resolutions on the ballot. Community members can cast their vote between 6-9 p.m. at the firehouse on South Country Road.
Brookhaven
Incumbent Mike Verni will be running unopposed. There will also be no referendums or resolutions on the ballot. Voting will take place between 6-9 p.m. at the firehouse on Montauk Highway.
Hagerman
Former chief of the Bellport Fire Department and firefighter Dane Hartmann will be running against incumbent Mark Palermo for a five-year term seat. There will be no resolutions or referendums and voting will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the firehouse.
Medford
Incumbent Charles Jagde will be running unopposed. There will also be no referendums or resolutions on the ballot. Voters can vote between 3-9 p.m.
Patchogue
Incumbent Steve Saper will be running unopposed. The vote will take place at the firehouse on Jennings Avenue between 3-9 p.m. with no referendums or resolutions up for vote.
Mastic
Incumbent Daniel Haase will be running unopposed for another term. There will be no referendums or resolutions on the ballot.
Mastic Beach
Firefighter Vinny Guarino will be running unopposed to fill former commissioner Charles O’Connor’s vacated seat. He served for over 35 years. Voting will take place from noon to 9 p.m. at the firehouse, with no referendums or resolutions on the ballot.
