The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce reschedule their 10th annual Fall Festival from Sunday, October 14 to Saturday, Oct. 28. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street.

The event will include the annual Chili & Chowder Contest between many of the local restaurants. This year the chamber will be offering both contests concurrently and begin selling tickets for them before the festival online via the chamber’s website.

This year’s participating restaurants include: James Joyce, Village Idiot Pub, Rhum, Chops Steakhouse, Tap Room, Aroogas, Dirty Taco, and Standard Rec. Ticket holders will be given a map of the participating restaurants, with opportunity to vote on their favorites.

Last year’s winners were Dirty Taco for best chili with 44 of the 103 votes; in second place was Whiskey Neat, receiving 18 votes and in third place was That MeetballPlace with 14 votes. The first-place winner of the Chowder Contest was Catch Oyster Bar, with 39 of the 96 ballots.

There will also be the Halloween Costume Parade, live entertainment, Pumpkin decorating by the Pat-Med Library, food and craft vendors, a cornhole tournament, outdoor dining and many activities for families to enjoy.

Our Chamber's Patchogue Fall Festival has truly grown to be one of the most anticipated events of the year!” said chamber executive director David Kennedy, noting that the festival committee has been working hard to make this the best year ever. “I am looking forward to trying all the great Chilis & Chowders our restaurants are cooking up for our famous contest and leading children of all ages down Main Street for the Costume Parade.”

The Fall Fest committee includes: co-chairs Lisa Hogan, Kaysi Fitzpatrick and James Diele-Stein.

"Patchogue is like a big foodie party with so many great restaurants to try. I know it can be a bit much with all the choices, but guess what? The best part of this festival is the Chili Chowder Contest,” said Fitzpatrick, noting that it is a chance to check out the hidden gems. Our local restaurant owners and chefs pull out all the stops, letting their creativity run wild.”

Come on down and see what the buzz is about for yourself. Who knows, you might just stumble upon your new favorite hangout, or recipe!” she added.
