Meet the team

Your family of hometown newspapers is excited to announce a new era of editorial staff with the addition of our first-ever executive and associate editors and two full-time reporters.


Executive Editor, Nicole Fuentes

Our longtime reporter-turned-Long Island Advance-editor Nicole Fuentes will be overseeing all four of our print papers: the Long Island Advance, Suffolk County News, Islip Bulletin and Tide of the Moriches and Manorville, as well as our online paper, the Tri-Hamlet News as our first-ever executive editor.

Nicole, 27, joined our team as an intern upon graduating from Sayville High School in 2011, formerly as Nicole Allegrezza. She took a full-time position as our reporter in 2015 and became editor in 2016. She is both a Suffolk County Community College and Hofstra University alumna. She and her husband Paul own a home in Sayville and have two children, Quinn and Ivy.

Associate Editor, Glenn Rohrbacker

Glenn has been the reporter for the Long Island Advance and Tide of Moriches and Manorville for over a year, since starting in July 2018. He graduated from the University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Science in communications in 2018 and is now pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Stony Brook University. Glenn will oversee digital content for all of our publications, including web stories and social media. He can be reached at or 631-475-1000 ext. 19.


Reporter, Anthony Perrotta

Anthony has been a reporter for the Islip Bulletin and Suffolk County News, and occasionally the Long Island Advance, for nearly two years. He is both a Suffolk County Community College and Five Towns College alumnus. Anthony graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School and lived down the road from Canaan Lake for most of his life, but recently moved to Holbrook with his girlfriend Mary. Reporter, Randall Waszynski

Randy has been writing for the Long Island Advancefor over a year, since starting as an intern in January 2018. He has recently been brought on as a staff reporter. Randy, 25, graduated from Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism in 2018, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a concentration in science and the environment.
