Artists on the Lane’s 62nd annual celebration
One of the oldest art fairs on Long Island returns to Bellport on July 4: Artists on the Lane. Hosted by South Bay Art Association, the annual festival celebrates different kinds of art from the local community. The event will feature a variety of fine arts and crafts including paintings, ceramics and pottery, photography, fiber art, glass art, artisan jewelry and more. All artwork/craftwork is original and created by the exhibitors. It is open to all experience levels, interests and ages.
At the same time, the Bellport Garden Club will be having their annual flower and bake sale on the grounds of the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society, which will be having their own antique show and sale.
The deadline to apply for an exhibit has passed, but those interested can visit the website and fill out an application in the event a space opens up.
Bellport Lane south of Bell Street will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, July 6. For more information and directions, visit ArtistsontheLane.com.
