Zion Church celebrates 100 years
On May 18, supervisor Ed Romaine and councilman Neil Foley were guests at the Grace AME Zion Church’s 100th anniversary celebration held at the Holbrook Country Club. During the event, the church was presented with a proclamation declaring May 17 as Grace AME Zion Church Day in the Town of Brookhaven. The church was established in Patchogue in 1919 and has remained in the same building on the corner of Grant Place and Cleveland Street since 1920.
