For another year, Legis. Rob Calarco (D-Patchogue) has made a contribution to Head Start of Patchogue through his Play for Peace soccer tournament, this year in the amount of $1,000, despite the rainout. Last year’s funds contributed towards a new safety glass installed at the front desk, as well as an egress window for a lower level classroom. This year, center manager Lina Ortiz hopes to see the funds help to purchase projectors. The money, she said, is a nice boost for the school that serves 113 children. Pictured here is Calarco with Ortiz, Head Start staff, and the sponsors of the event, Gershow Recycling manager Jonathan Abrams and Chris of Tritec Realty director of marketing Chris Kelly.
