Belzak and Father Tortora park re-dedications
On Saturday, May 19, the Village of Patchogue will be celebrating the reopening of Belzak and Father Tortora parks with two rededication ceremonies. Father Tortora Park will kick off the commencement with an 11 a.m. celebration, including hamburgers and hot dogs supplied by the Knights of Columbus, and then Belzak Park will be rededicated at 1 p.m., rain or shine. Both ceremonies are free and open to the public and ice cream will be served. Both renovations were completed late last year with finishing touches earlier this year. Funding was used from an anonymous $5 million parks improvement donation.
