Alonzo Chandler, 21, from Bellport was arrested on Feb. 3 in Bellport for an incident on July 12, 2017 in which he entered a building without permission and stole a Kindle and an Amazon Fire tablet.

An unknown person stole a pocketbook from an unlocked 2015 Toyota on Oakwood Street on Feb. 3.

Brookhaven Hamlet

Jeffrey Gehrlein, 29, was arrested at Walgreens on Montauk Highway for stealing assorted electronics.

An unknown person displayed a handgun and stole money from the register at OK Petroleum on Montauk Highway on Feb. 4.

Mastic Beach

An unknown person stole money from a home on Elm Road West on Feb. 2.

Someone stole money from an ATM on Mastic Road on Feb. 4 after the victim withdrew money and forgot to take the dispensed cash. The money was gone when the person returned.


A group of people assaulted a pizza delivery person, who was hospitalized, and stole his wallet on Monroe Street on Feb. 4.

A group of males assaulted a person and stole the person’s cell phone and wallet on Roberts Street on Feb. 4.

Someone stole a pocketbook at 7-Eleven on Montauk Highway on Feb. 4 after the owner left it in the parking lot and entered the store.

Someone stole a 2010 Toyota Highlander parked in a driveway on Midland Avenue on Feb. 6 with the key in the ignition and the engine running.


Aaron Maurizio, 34, from Medford was arrested in Medford for puncturing all four tires on a 2012 Hyundai on Meyer Lane on Feb. 5.

Maureen Rhodes, 40, from Port Jefferson Station was arrested in Medford for punching someone in the face with her cell phone in hand on Meyer Lane on Feb. 5 that created a laceration on the victim’s right cheek.

Someone stole an iPhone from a backpack at Patchogue-Medford High School in the gymnasium on Feb. 2.

North Bellport

Adrian Harrison, 31, from North Amityville was arrested in North Bellport for damaging another person’s kitchen appliances, television and glass sliding door on Walker Avenue on Feb. 1.

Dominique Riggins, 28, from East Patchogue was arrested in North Bellport for stealing cash from another person and resisting arrest on Agamemnon Avenue on Feb. 6.

East Patchogue

Kellen Coon, 20, from Patchogue was arrested in East Patchogue on Feb. 6 for stealing a DeWalt tool from Lowes on Montauk Highway on Feb. 3.

Someone displayed a handgun and demanded money at Valero Gas on Montauk Highway on Feb. 4 but fled without proceeds.

An unknown person entered a home on Grove Avenue on Feb. 7 and stole jewelry, cash and other items.


Someone stole items from a 2012 Nissan on Terry Street on Feb. 2 and damaged the steering column.

An unknown person keyed a 2012 Bentley on South Ocean Avenue on Feb. 3.


Matthew Turitto, 23, from East Moriches was arrested in Shirley for stealing property from another person at Ocean gas station on Montauk Highway on Feb. 3 and caused the victim physical injury that required medical attention.

Morgan Redecker, 18, from Shirley was arrested in Shirley for stabbing a female in the forearm during a fistfight at Pine Tree and Rugby drives on Feb. 3.


Mastic Beach

Suffolk County Police arrested a Mastic Beach woman for neglecting her 1-year-old pit bull. The owner of 102 Laurelton Drive called 911 on Feb. 10 after he found a deceased cat in the home, which is occupied by squatters. During further investigation, a 1-year-old female pit bull named Karma was found locked in a bedroom filled with feces and urine. The dog was underweight with no access to food or water.

Seventh Precinct officers arrested one of the squatters, Ashley Dollard, on Feb. 11 and charged her with aggravated cruelty to animals under New York State Agriculture and Markets Law. Dollard, 23, was released on bail and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 12.

Town of Brookhaven Animal Control took custody of the dog and officials from the Town of Brookhaven condemned the home, which had no running water.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Wanted for grand larceny

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole a car from the parking lot of a store in Mastic in November 2017.

A man parked his 2013 electric blue Nissan Sentra in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, located at 1236 Montauk Highway in Mastic, on Nov. 28, 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m. He left the motor running and went inside the store. The car was gone when he returned. Surveillance footage indicates that the man drove away in the vehicle.

Wanted for robbery 

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who robbed two businesses this month. 

A person entered Valero Gas Station, located at 1164 Montauk Highway, East Patchogue, on Feb. 4 at approximately 9 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The clerk did not comply and the suspect fled without proceeds. A short time later, detectives believe the same suspect entered OK Petroleum, located at 2549 Montauk Highway, Brookhaven, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. 

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
