Members of the community and local politicians gathered last Thursday to mark the new home of a bronze likeness of William Floyd — a signer of the Declaration of Independence — at Village Square, a small corner parcel overlooking the busy intersection of Montauk Highway and William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.
